Jana Kramer bio

Jana Kramer is a country musician, actor and singer who became a household name on the television screen when she was played by Alex in One Tree Hill for the last three seasons. Her first few releases as a country artist were featured on episodes of the series helping her debut album, titled "Eponymous," to make it into the Top 20 in the Billboard 200. The follow-up album from 2015's Thirty One reached the Top Ten. It was the end of the decade with appearances in Dancing with the Stars, Television films, and other singles not from the album. In 2021, her self-doubting album Voices was released. Jana Rae Kramer, born in Rochester Hills Michigan and raised there, grew to love country music. Later she would pursue a record career. Her first role as a actress in the film Dead/Undead in 2002, when she was still just a teen. Following a couple of guest appearances for All My Children or CSI: NY, Kramer landed Noelle Davenport's role as a regular in NBC Friday Night Lights in the show's 2nd season 2007-2008. Kramer would go on to appear as Portia Ranson on 90210 (2008-2009) as well as Brooke Manning, in Entourage (2009) and then was cast in One Tree Hill by the CW as Alex Dupre. Kramer remained with the One Tree Hill team until half way through its last season (2012). Jana Kramer Kramer began her career with One Tree Hill in 2011. Her contract was signed with Elektra Records during this time and released the country-rock song "I Will Not Go Down" during one episode. The song was later featured as a track on Jana Kramer, her debut album released in 2012. The track reached into the Top Five on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. Focusing on her music career following that, and not resigning from acting Kramer appeared in movies such as Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016 that would appeal to her music fanbase. Kramer released her sophomore studio album Thirty One in collaboration with Warner Music Nashville, in October 2015. Her album, Thirty One was the Top Five Country Hit I Got the Boy, and her duo track that Steven Tyler and Aerosmith performed together helped the album reach third place on the Billboard 200 and number 10 on the charts for country albums. The two-month stint on Dancing with the Stars 23rd edition ended with her finishing fourth. This was also the season that she scored an adult-contemporary smash, with the song Feels Like Christmas which featured Straight No Chaser.
